We really can’t think of a better brand to partner with! In lieu of our upcoming warehouse sale here are 10 things you might not have known about TOMS:
With every pair of TOMS shoes you purchase, a new pair is given to a child in need. They currently work with 90 shoe giving partners around the globe and distribute multiple shoe silhouettes based on climate and environment. To date, TOMS has given over 60 million new pairs of shoes to children in need.
9. TOMS Replaces Shoes
The TOMS One-for-One Giving Program doesn’t simply stop at one pair. Once a child in need has outgrown their old shoes, another pair is donated. For TOMS it’s about building relationships with communities and helping children build self-esteem by making them feel cared about.
8. TOMS Only Donates High-Quality Shoes
TOMS doesn’t produce or donate a lower quality shoe for their One-for-One program. In fact, it’s the opposite. Often the shoes donated are of an even higher quality than what is available on the shelves.
The brand doesn’t stop at donating shoes. They also have a one-for-one initiative with eyewear. Prescription glasses, sight-saving surgery and medical treatment for different eye ailments are given to those in need. So far, TOMS has helped restore eyesight to over 400,000 people.
More than 780 million people don’t have access to clean water and safe water systems. The TOMS Roasting Coffee Co. seeks to solve this problem by providing 140 liters of drinkable water (a weeks supply,) to a person in need, with 335,000 weeks of safe water to date.

Start Something that Matters and the Social Entrepreneurship Fund are two initiatives that help new social enterprises start from the ground up. TOMS looks for like-minded social innovators and facilitates bringing those ideas to life.
There are over 60 million refugees and displaced people around the globe who don’t have access to basic needs – over half being children. Part of the One-for-One Program has a special focus on helping these refugees. TOMS currently gives shoes to those displaced in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
