Following in the footsteps of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake and other actors, it looks as if Cameron Diaz will be the next celebrity to take chance in the fashion world. “Being influential in a brand and in its (advertising) campaigns interests me. I love fashion. It’s a large part of my life. What I wear is looked at. It influences what other people wear because that’s just the world we live in,” Diaz told Women’s Wear Daily.
The 40 year old actress was named artistic director for the luxury accessory brand, Pour La Victoire earlier this week. She is not only the spokesperson, but owns an undisclosed stake in the company. The brand was founded by David Giordano and focuses on providing women with shoes and handbags. The collections draw inspiration from French indulgences and Parisian heritage whilst still remaining modern. The brand has previously worked with the famous photographers such as Terry Richardson and is a favourite among celebrities such as Jessica Szohr and Elizabeth Olsen. As the artistic director, Diaz will help design and market products and will also have a hand in the company’s shoe and handbag collections.
Cameron Diaz is not exactly my go-to girl for fashion inspiration. What do you think about her coming on deck at Pour La Victoire? Will you follow the brand when it is launched in the states next spring?
