Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending the first Cheese Cave Event at TOCA, located in the Ritz-Carlton. The restaurant’s head chef Jitin Gaba, General Manager Peter Muir, and Sommelier Lorie O’Sullivan took a small group of us through a cheesy, wine-filled adventure.
We tasted artisanal cheeses, some of which had been aged for 10+ years & cost over $1000, paired them with award-winning wines, learned how to make our own cheese and toured TOCA’s exclusive cheese cave.
The cheese tasting experiences at TOCA happens once monthly for the next four months. Each tasting has a different theme and only costs $45 per person. The classes last around an hour-and-a-half and are a great way to try new cheeses and wines, meet new people or spend time with friends. Your cheese plate game will never be the same after these lessons in eating!
