About Project Artist Collaboration (PAC):
Each season SEVENTHIRTYONE will work with an independent artist to showcase a unique design on a piece featured in their collection. The purpose of PAC was to create the love child of artistic ideas and create one product, showcasing the talents of independent artists who inspire with their creativity.
SEVENTHIRTYONE is a Canadian-Japanese inspired clothing line that is a visual representation of founders Defne Husrevoglu and Maiko Suzuki‘s diverse cultural backgrounds. The duo met in Paris, both with a dream for fashion. Chance brought them to the same apartment and they were quick to discover that they share the same birthday, July 31, inspiring their label SEVENTHIRTYONE. All of their clothes are made from the highest quality materials. They do not use zippers or buttons. The reasoning is to maintain natural comfort, simulating a second skin. The clothes are intended to wear naturally and develop character with wear over time. SEVENTHIRTYONE was selected as a top 4 designer in “TFI’s New Label Competition”, an event presented in collaboration with Target. They were also selected as Semi-Finalist in “Mercedes-Benz Start Up”. They currently sell at selected fashion stores in the US, Kuwait and Japan.
