CONVERSE UNVEILS THE ALL STAR MODERN SNEAKER INSPIRED

Our friends at Converse have just recently unveiled the first series of updates to some of the brand’s most iconic sneaker silhouettes with the launch of the Converse All Star Modern. The newly designed Converse All Star Modern is inspired by the Converse 1920 All Star sneaker and the brand’s roots in heritage basketball, however the new All Star Modern is streamlined with a modern design ethos and lightweight construction.
The Converse All Star Modern collection includes both Hi and Ox silhouettes featuring circular knit uppers
and innovative features including Nike Hyperfuse, a contoured full-length Phylon outsole, a TPU-fused overlaid toecap, plus a neoprene split tongue and lining.
“The Converse All Star Modern is a perfect fusion of our sport heritage with modern design,” said Bryan Cioffi, Vice President/Creative Director of Converse Global Footwear. “With this collection, Converse is delivering a comfortable, lightweight product that’s new, exciting and modern, but still feels very Converse.”
Wait, it gets better! To introduce the collection, Converse will also be dropping a limited edition Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker, designed by HTM, the creative team consisting of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker.
The Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker will be available on Thursday, June 9 for $180 USD, exclusively at NikeLab retail stores worldwide and NikeLab.com, in Black and White colourways.
The Converse All Star Modern sneaker collection will be available on Thursday, June 16 for $140 USD (Hi) and $130 USD (Ox), at Converse retail stores, Converse.com and select pinnacle retailers, in Black, Action Red, Lucid Green, Soar Blue and White colourways.
