DIY, handmade online superstore Etsy is presenting a unique pop-up concept dubbed Made in Canada. The concept will see marketplaces “pop-up” in 22 cities across Canada on September 27th, and what’s great is that the national marketplace movement is driven by Etsy’s own community of DIY-ers and hand-craft artisans.
In the spirit of celebrating local Canadian artists, Etsy has released a great promo video (above) featuring three sellers (Adhesif Clothing, AJMetissage and Rong Designs) in their studios in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, respectively.
For our readers that live in Toronto, on September 27th a one-day shopping event will take over the MaRS atrium on College Street from 10am to 4pm offering a selection of goods from over 135 vendors. If you’ve never been to an Etsy event, you can honestly expect everythign from kitchen nick-nacks to jewellery.
Hope to see you there!
