My name is Amanda and I am addicted to my phone.
I’ll be the first to admit that I have a unhealthy attachment to my phone. I work in social media so Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and e-mail are second nature to me – heck, I even sleep with my phone underneath my pillow. While I love staying connected, I often find myself disconnected to the people that I am surrounded by in real life. On more than one occasion, I’ve found myself in situations where conversations have fallen dead due to trance-induced Twitter updates and mesmerizing memes. Our phones act as a constant distraction from the things we really want to focus on like enjoying moments with the people we care about, pursuing our goals, and appreciating the world around us.
Here’s where Focus Life Gear by Trident comes in to play. Kunihiko Morinaga is a visionary fashion designer from Japan that recently teamed up with Trident to create a collection that keeps focus on the things that are truly important in life. The entire collection is made up of radio frequency shielding fabric that allow us to carry our mobile devices without them being a distraction.
Peep some photos of the collection below or go check it out in real life! From now until April 6th, the entire collection will be on display in an exhibit at 536 Queen Street West, Toronto.
