In an interesting move, TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie has revealed his and the brand’s intention to extend the TOMS brand name into the coffee industry. The new venture for the brand dubbed Toms Roasting Co., will continue it’s ONE for ONE motto where each product sold will result in a donation to a worthy cause. Don’t worry it’s not one coffee for one coffee that would be ridiculous. The brand will be donating clean drinking water for every cup of coffee sold in its  coffee shops.

Mycoskie is quoted saying “Food is difficult. It’s a totally new business. I never say never, though. It’s a difficult area because it would require having an amazing partner or require us to hire a whole bunch of new people — very different people than a footwear designer.”

We will see how this all pans out, but TOMS is an innovative brand – it might just work. What do you think?
