Remembrance Day is one of those holidays where you aren’t’ exactly sure what’s opened and closed. For the most of us, our daily activities won’t be impacted by the holiday at all. Here’s a list of services that will be impacted by Remembrance Day.

 

Economic Development & Culture: Museums website and hours

Employment & Social Services
All locations will be closed. City residents can apply for Ontario Works assistance online at the City of Toronto website.

Facilities Management
All Civic Centres are open on statutory/designated holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accommodate any existing booked meetings and events booked. Christmas and New Years Civic Centres are closed.

Long-Term Care Homes and Services
All Long-Term Care Homes & Services are operating as usual. There are no Adult Day Programs and Metro Hall’s head office is closed.

Parks, Forestry & Recreation
Due to the holiday, not all Parks, Forestry and recreation programs and services will be offered. To view services that are available, visit the website. For program specific questions, contact your local community centre.

Revenue Services
The customer service counters and telephone line for tax & utility inquiries will be closed.

Shelter, Support & Housing Administration
Emergency shelters and street outreach are available. For more information, visit the City of Toronto website.
