First Lululemon’s Christine Day, now the Hudson’s Bay’s Bonnie Brooks is stepping down as the face behind the Canadian retailer.

Brooks stepping down from her role as President of HBC is a move that has shocked analysts and investors. Especially because Brooks has been instrumental in the company’s recent profitability and resurgence.

WHile not completely leaving HBC, Brooks will stay on as a Vice- Chairman and will be an advisor the company.

Hudson’s Bay has announced new president Liz Robdell, who was formerly the Executive Vice-President will take over by January 2014.
