The Quebec based retailer La Maison Simons has plans to open up two Toronto locations.

If you’ve never heard of La Maison Simons it’s very popular in Quebec, and carries it’s house brand clothing as well as various other brands. We would say it’s Targetesque but a little more upscale.

CEO of La Maison Simons president & CEO Peter Simons says he’s actively negotiating for space at Yorkdale and Square One malls in Toronto.  According to, Simons would take over the space vacated by Sears at each mall respectively.

While Oxford Properties the commercial company that owns the Sears space has yet to agree to anything, we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a La Maison Simons in the GTA in the very near future!
