If you’re a fan of Back to The Future II you may have noticed that the hypothesized future takes place in 2015. According to the movie, by 2015 we should have invented a real working hoverboard, and it looks like Lexus has done just that.  In Lexus’ newest campaign titled “Amazing in Motion” Lexus teases a look at areal-live hoverboard that the luxury automaker has secretly been working on for the past two years. Lexus is calling the hoverboard “Slide” and according to their website the product was developed “Through the combination of design, technology, and imagination… SLIDE is a perfect example of the amazing things that can be achieved.”  While creating a hoverboard is still mindblowing, Lexus is stating that the “Hoverboard uses magnetic levitation to achieve amazing frictionless movement. Liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets combine to allow Lexus to create the impossible.”

The website gives no indication as to the likelihood that this product makes it into consumers hands, but regardless we live in a crazy world where anything is possible.
