With summer right around the corner, you’re probably looking for the best beauty products to get that pre-sun glow! I’ve rounded up a bunch of beauty products for the month which have been personally tried and tested by me. Check out five of my favourites for keeping your brows in check, getting that rosy glow, keeping a tan and lashes luscious!
May beauty picks st. tropez facial tan oil luxe

St.Tropez Self Tan Luxe Facial Oil – $42

I’ll be honest, I’ve never been one to self-tan, but this luxe facial oil has changed my perspective on the trend! I have naturally tan skin, but the one place I can never seem to keep colour is on my face. The St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Facial Oil is the perfect product for people looking to get a subtle summer glow on their face. Just wash & dry your face, rub in 2-3 drops of the oil, 2-3 times a week and let dry. The tan is gradual, meaning you won’t see results right away, but it also won’t turn your skin orange because it works with the pigments in your skin to create a natural, streak-free glow. You can even use the oil in place of a moisturizer, it’s that hydrating!

may beauty picks cargo colour stick

Cargo Colour Stick (Key West) – $33.60

I was introduced to the Cargo Colour Stick earlier this year and I can officially say that I am obsessed. The stick can be used on your eyes, lips and cheeks, however, I strictly use mine on my cheeks. I love the Cargo Colour Stick because I find it easier to blend than a typical powder blush – I just dab three little dots on the apples of my cheeks and blend with a blush brush. The stick is super smooth on my skin and lasts me all day, adding the perfect glow on top of my faux-tanned face. The colour I have is Key West, but there are 5 different colours to pick from.

may beauty picks anastasia dipbrow pomade

Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade – $23

My eyebrows are a disaster. They’re super long, straight and overall, just out of control. Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade was the first brow filler I ever used and I’ve never strayed. The jar may seem pricey, but it lasts a long time – I’ve had mine for 6 months and I’m not even halfway through. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush #12 ($23) to apply and not only does it fill in my brows, it acts as a gel to hold my brows in place. It’s an easy filler to use, even for brow-newbs, and it’s long lasting. It typically lasts me 9-5 and I reapply if I’m going out for the night. I use the pomade in a dark brown, but there are 11 different shades to suit every hair colour.

may beauty picks dermalogica sheer tint moisturiser

Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisturiser – $60

Ditch your foundation this summer and opt for a tinted moisturiser that’ll keep your face hydrated and protect your skin from UV rays at the same time! The Dermalogica Sheer Tint comes in three different shades: light, medium and dark, and comes with SPF 20 built in. The formula is smooth and easy to blend with your fingertips, creating an even skin tone. I apply mine after moisturiser as a primer to hold my blush and bronzer.

may beauty picks maybelline new york lash sensational

Maybelline New York Lash Sensational – $5.96

Before my lashes met Maybelline New York’s Lash Sensational, I was completely addicted to Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara which costs a hefty $29 per bottle. Luckily for my wallet, Lash Sensational is less that $10 at Walmart and works just as well! The curved wand helps grip your lashes from the base to end and separates, thickens and lengthens with only 2-3 coats. It also comes in a waterproof version, which makes it perfect for packing for all your summer adventures. This mascara will definitely get you the most bang for your buck!

Have you tried any of these May beauty picks? Which is your favourite?
