Mississauga is Getting its own Christmas Market this Year
Mississauga’s Santa Claus Parade is going to look a little different this year! Instead of running along Queen Street, all the festivities will take place at a Christmas Market in the new Streetsville Village Square on November 26 and 27.
The parade will start on Ontario street and then march down Queen Street South, finally landing at their new Village Square outpost. Dubbed Streetsville’s Christmas, the market sounds charming to boot and promises to be a family-friendly event similar to Toronto’s European Christmas Market.
Once in the square, everyone will get a chance to meet Santa and his elves! The meeting with Santa will feature an afternoon of activities, classic Christmas tunes and complimentary s’mores and hot chocolate.
Attendees can also expect unique craft vendors, live entertainment, and mulled wine and cider – the perfect recipe for an amazing time if you ask us. The market will kick-off at 2:00pm and run until 9:00pm, featuring a tree lighting ceremony in the evening.
The event, presented by insauga.com, is run by the Streetsville Business Improvement Association and Phillip Sous, founder and festival director of the Junk food Festival and Toronto’s Mac n’ Cheese Festival so you can expect good things!
