Last night I had the opportunity to head to the fabulous Burroughes building to check out the Moose & Beaver Runway show. Moose & Beaver is a women’s ready to wear clothing line that fouces on showcasing the balance between “The raw strength and frailty that all women exude”. Designed with a very Canadian vibe, owner and creative director Leah Antoinette sent models down the runway in a sexy mash-ups of fur, knit-wear and booty shorts. The collection incorporated merino wool, alpaca, viscose yarns, distressed leather and my favourite vintage fur.
It was an interesting collection, and I believe that she found the balance between warrior woman and sexy. It’s hard to pull off looks where you have a bunch of fur on your torso and nothing on your legs, but the collection worked.
With fur being a major trend look to see Moose & Beaver products on some of the city’s most stylish.
