Right in the middle of major reports claiming that online fashion retailer Net-a-Porter has merged with fellow luxury e commerce shopping site YOOX, Net-a-Porter has just unveiled a game changing app.  The new app dubbed “The Net Set” aims to bring a social networking feel to the work of online mobile shopping. The Net Set app will somewhat be a mix of Instagram capabilities and mobile shopping all in one. User will be able to both share their latest fashion trends, and purchase luxury goods via the app.


In addition to the social capabilities, the new app will have advanced algorithms that will enable the app to determine individual garments within users photos. Giving users buying capabilities even when the products names haven’t been given in the photos.

“The Net Set” will be available on iPhone, iPad, and the Apple Watch starting May 13.
