I think it’s safe to say that the only thing better than a concert is a FREE concert. It also helps when said “free concert” isn’t a million miles away.

That being said, we want to give a big shout out to Pharrell Williams, as the “Happy” singer just announced he will be playing a free concert in Toronto on September 10, 2016.

The event will take place during TIFF in support of the 20th Century Fox film, Hidden Figures, which Williams co-produced. The film tells the story of three African American women working for NASA, who helped launch the astronaut, John Glenn into space.

Set to be released in January, select TIFF members will get to see an early preview of the film on the big screen, followed by a Q&A with stars Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae and Octavia Spencer.

Pharrell’s performance will get underway on Festival Street, at the intersection of King and John, and will be open to TIFF members, as well as the general public.

Are you excited to see Pharrell play a free concert in Toronto?
