Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the launch party of Saturdays Surf NYC at Jonathan & Olivia. The store was packed with some of Toronto’s best dressed and beverages were supplied by Peroni and Vitamin Water from a make shift bar (exactly the type of thing you expect to see on Ossington).
Saturdays Surf NYC is a menswear label that prides itself on authenticity and tradition. It’s got a surfer meets metropolitan appeal that everyone can appreciate.
They first began selling surfboards and wet suits in Soho, New York. You might be thinking “surf meets New York?” Trust me once you see the clothing its a perfect combination. Now they’ve hit the Canadian scene and are exclusively sold at Jonathan & Olivia. The best part about the party (other then nice clothes and free drinks) was the photography featured by Jeremy Koresky, who is best known for his work on coastal culture and outdoor life.
Saturdays Surf has got decent prices and is the perfect way to start your summer
wardrobe, with t-shirts starting at $40 and board shorts at $80.
You can check them out on their website or do one better and check them out in
store at Jonathan & Olivia.
J & O is located @ 49 Ossington Avenue Toronto.
