With the arrival of Nordstrom last week to the Canadian market, it is very clear that as a department store if you want to keep up with big names like Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew and The Bay, your brand has to be on point. While we don’t really like to nag on other companies social media efforts (it’s hard to stay on point every single time) we just had to share some of Sears Instagram posts because really, what were they thinking? While social media experts say it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly how Instagram influences a brand, it’s pretty clear that great brands have great Instagram accounts and struggling brands don’t.
