Our next shop profile needs little introduction. Located on Toronto’s west end, just west of Ossington, lays a boutique known for it’s star studded client list, “modern funhouse” décor, and rare and sought after merchandise.
Upon first step through the door, you meet clean lines, white shelving, geometric mirrors and an extravagant chandelier, making it easy to see where their slogan, “fashion, music, glamour” comes from. For those who don’t know about the shop, Jacflash is boutique that is run and owned by Toronto’s own socialite, Jaclyn Genovese. If you don’t recognize her from the store, you may know her from events she has hosted, her past mini web series (which aired online on the Slice Network,) or her Instagram, where she posts her own outfits of the day, featuring items from the store. Jacflash hosts brands from Australia, Brazil, L.A and New York for both men and women. Fischer Street, Cara Cheung, Bustle, (the latter, all local Toronto designers,) Scotch and Soda, One Teaspoon and Runwaydreamz are just a few names that grace Jacflash’s specially curated racks, “I like to work on the creative side of things. I like pushing Toronto boundaries and trying to find lines and carry stuff no one else has,” explains Genovese.
Toronto’s ever booming West end has seen shops come and go within the last few years, but Jacflash is sure to stay. With the store’s 5th birthday just months away, Jacflash has definitely become a staple for Toronto fashion and you’d be a fool to walk past this store without taking a peak in! Head in there for their sale (where pieces will be up to 80% off until September), new fall arrivals, the good vibes and energy or just to take a listen to their independent music section (featuring local indie artists,) but know that you walk out, you’ll leave wanting more.
Take a look at the pics from our visit. There is just so much to see in this store, it’s wonderful.
