If you don’t already know, you’re probably thinking, “who or what is TOM*?” Well, TOM* is a pretty big deal, especially if you’re one to keep up with Canadian fashion. TOM* is Toronto Men’s Fashion Week and it’s only the eighth of it’s kind, following the footsteps of fashion capitals such as London, Paris, Milan and Florence. TOM* is Canada’s only fashion week that is solely dedicated to the millennial man who is unashamed of his unrequited love with fashion and the industry. The second season of TOM* begins this week and even though there are a number of reasons you should check out, we’ve narrowed it down to just six.

Here are 6 reasons why you should check out TOM*:

1. TOM* Puts the Spotlight on Canadian Menswear Designers and Talent

This season will see runway shows from 15 of Canada’s most creative and innovative menswear designers including up-and-comers Andrew Coimbra and Rank by Rani Kim, and established favourites, Christopher Bates and HD Homme.

2. TOM* Goers are Some of The Most Stylish

Some of the best people watching will take place this week at Toronto Men’s Fashion Week. Attendees are just as stylish as the models on the runway and they’re not afraid of taking risks or embracing their bold sense of style! Don’t believe us? 3. Not only does TOM* entertain, they educate

TOM* Talks will be taking place in the Penthouse Suite at the Trump Residences on February 24th & 26th. The talks will cover men-focused topics from men’s fashion and consumer trends to tips on how to dress and personal growth. Guest speakers include Will Poho – the founder of Moose Knuckles, Roger Gingerich – the Co-Chair of Fashion Group International Toronto, and many more! Tickets are $50 per talk. Purchase your tickets here.

4. TOM* Brings Together a Star-Studded Runway for a Good Cause

Last year, TOM* raised $10,000 for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) through the Kol Hope Foundation and this year, they’re hoping to do it again! With the second season of TOM* comes the Men’s Fashion4Hope runway show. This year, Canadian celebrities such as Colin MacDonald (musician, The Trews), Michael Motamedi (celebrity chef), Kristian Brunn (actor, Orphan Black, Schitt’s Creek) and many more will walk the runway! All ticket revenue from the show will be donated to SickKids. Purchase your tickets here.

5. Tickets for TOM* Won’t Break Your Budget

Runway shows start this Wednesday, February 25th and run until Friday, February 27th. Unlike other fashion shows, TOM* is extremely accessible! Tickets are only $20 per show or $65 for a full day pass. Purchase your tickets here.

6. TOM* Parties are Totally Worth Breaking Your Winter Hibernation For

If you can score an invite, TOM* has partnered with Audi Downtown Toronto for a killer opening party. Last year, the dealership was transformed into a venue full of beautiful people, live music, DJs, food and drinks. This year, TOM* will also be hosting two parties that are open to the public at EFS Toronto on Thursday, February 26th and Saturday, February 28th with hosts Paul Mason and Jay Strut, and 4am extended last call.
