Understated & underrated are two phrases that come to mind when describing what creative director Ilan Elfassy had in store for Soia & Kyo’s fall/winter 2014 collection. Focusing on the beauty of contrast, disparity apparent throughout as the collection consisted of effortlessly feminine & chic pieces. Pillowing relaxed pants were followed by tailored trousers and tailored coats meshed nicely with quilted bombers to present a diverse mix of options for the costumer come fall. For men, color-blocked oxblood & navy outfits and pea-coats with a fur trim were highlights. IIan Elfassy has done an excellent job refining the labels DNA which subsequently will bring this brand top of mind for the casual consumer in the ever-crowded Canadian outwear scene.
