It’s been a while, but we’re bringing back our Style Profiles! To kick-off our return, we interviewed Toronto’s sweetheart, Chloe Wilde.

It’s been a while, but we’re bringing back our Style Profiles! To kick-off our return, we interviewed Toronto’s sweetheart, Chloe Wilde.

The Montreal-native is proof that there’s more than meets the eye. Wilde is a combination of quick-witted charisma, killer style and brains (with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences). After emerging as the winner of a Much VJ Search and winning hearts around the nation, Wilde began her career as an E! Canada host, where she interviews some of the biggest celebrities in the game!

You can catch her co-hosting THE 2016 IHEARTRADIO MMVA RED CARPETSunday, June 19 at 8 p.m. ET on Much and, and sharing her favourite outfits for LOULOU magazine’s 366 Days of Looks. But until then, scroll down below to check out what she has to say about her favourite shopping spots, style faux-pas and more.

Define your style in 3 words
Edgy, quirky, fun

What are some of your own style “rules” that you like to live by?
Rule #1 – Don’t feel confined to one “style”. My style changes from day-to-day and there is nothing wrong with that. I think it’s important for girls to feel freedom with their fashion choices rather than be confined by any one “style” in particular. From head to toe black to breezy bohemian vibes, let your inner fashion chameleon shine bright.

Rule #2 – Socks & sandals make me wince.

Rule #3 – Bra straps are meant to be hidden mystery, not out in the world.

Rule #4 – With summer finally here, hidden socks are your best friend. No socks is risky business and might leave you with stinky feet. Ew.

Rule #5 – Not sure what to wear? Monochrome to the rescue.

What are your “go-to” shopping destinations?
When I head home to Montreal I love walking along St. Catherine street and popping into various stores, with Simons being a regular stop. In my home-away-from-home in Toronto, I like to hit up the Eaton Center and Queen West for a little dose of local shops.

Do you have any favourite local designers?
Canada has some incredible designers! I’ve had the pleasure of wearing Canadian designers Mikhael Kale and Greta Constantine on the red carpet the previous two MMVA’s, the lovely Jenny Bird makes edgy accessories that I can’t get enough of, and Joe Fresh sweat pants have become a staple in my wardrobe.

Where do you currently shop online?
Online shopping is a dangerous habit (especially after a glass of wine…) but it is my favourite way to keep an eye on trends and get a bird’s eye view on what’s coming to a variety of stores. The best part? All this happens from the comforts of my couch, rocking a sweatsuit with a messy topknot on top of my head. My bank statements can confirm that I am addicted to shopping online at Zara, Choies, and NastyGal.

If you could give style advice to your followers, what would it be?
Don’t dress for other people, dress for yourself and OWN it.
