It’s that time of year again – the time when all the city’s publications come out with their best of lists. While we’ll be pumping out lists of our own, and have already released a list of who we think are some of the most valuable Torontonians are, just last week, Toronto Life released a very important list of their own.
Each year, the publication carefully crafts a list of 50 influential Canadians to toast their contributions to the city. The list typically includes people of all backgrounds including musicians, politicians, chefs, and more. We’re always excited to see who made the cut.
While we don’t want to spoil who made Toronto Life’s Most Influential list of 2016, we will share some of the notable individuals who are being honored, including Prime Minister and cover star, Justin Trudeau.
Other people on the list include hometown heroes Drake (obviously) and the Weeknd, Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie, the Blue Jays’ Josh Donaldson, actress Rachel McAdams, TIFF’s Artistic Director Cameron Bailey, and politicians John Tory, Kathleen Wynne, and Michael Ford.
To see the full list, keep an eye on Toronto Life or pick up a magazine at your local store.
