Uber has been doing a lot of great things lately, proving that they’re not just a taxi service anymore! In the past couple of months, they’ve partnered with Loblaws for their Click & Collect service, 3millionDogs for National-Adopt-a-Pet Day and multiple retailers in the States to build a clothing delivery service. Now the ride-share juggernaut is bringing a meals-on-wheels program, which has already launched in Barcelona, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, to Canada!

The new delivery service, dubbed UberEATS, launched today (May. 14, 2015) in Toronto and will be transporting meals to individuals in the downtown core. The service runs Monday to Friday from 11am to 2pm – perfect for those days when you’re too busy to leave the office! The service area runs parallel between Bathurst St. and Sherbourne St., and in between College St. and the Queens Quay., but will be expanding in the upcoming months.

UberEATS has partnered with Toronto’s top restaurants which will include California SandwichesBar Buca, P&L Burger, Caplansky’s, Kupfert & Kim, Fresh, Hawker Bar, Valdez and Khao San Road. The roster of restaurants will rotate daily and delivery will only cost you $3 an order, no matter how much you order. For those worried about splitting the tab, the UberEATS app will host the same ‘fare split’ feature as the Uber app, giving customers the option to split the bill with co-workers and friends. Best yet, all deliveries are guaranteed to arrive in 10 minutes or less and for the first two weeks, UberEats is waiving the $3 service fee! Download UberEATS here.

Will you test UberEATS out?
