UNTTLD Runway ’13 Toronto Fashion Week WMCFW
Designers Jo Manuel St-Jacques and Simon Belanger stayed true to form in their fall 2013 show revolving around a black theme. With black being sophisticated, mysterious, classic and chic, it was easy to see why UNTTLD took this route among the sea of designers dressing the runway up like a rainbow. Staying true to their brand image, UNTTLD used high quality fabrics and precise tailoring while also infusing current
trends for the season such as contrasting materials, fur and frills. The highlight of this collection was their ability to balance commercial pieces with more avant-garde pieces.
Their showcase of a leather bomber jacket, metallic dresses and a sheer black dress with feathers displays their versatility as designers. With this being only their second
collection after winning the Mercedes Start Up competition two seasons ago, its safe to say UNTTLD has a bright future ahead of them.
