WANT Apothecary Opens Second Toronto Location

Toronto’s Lawrence Park just got a swanky new store.

WANT Apothecary recently opened their doors at 2579 Yonge Street, serving Torontonians north of the city. The location is the brand’s second Toronto outpost, with their first located in Rosedale, and carries the largest selection of accessories and footwear of all WANT Apothecary locations (there are now 5 across North America in total).

Inspired by 19th century pharmacies, the new store, which is owned by twin brothers and WANT Les Essentiels designers Byron and Dexter Peart, features 1800 square feet of luxury style and beauty merchandise. The store was designed in collaboration with designer Maria Rosa Di Ioia and Drew Mandel Architects, housing custom designed walnut tables, herringbone-patterned floors, and Roll & Hill smoked globe chandeliers.

Sought-after fashion labels that can be found in the store include Acne Studios, Commes des Garcons, Junya Watanabe and Fleur du Mal, while the apothecary counter boasts cult-favourite beauty and body-care brands like Cosmetics 27, Verso Skincare, Grown Alchemist and more.
