West Elm is Really Sorry About this Couch they Sold You & They Want to Give You Your Money Back

Do you own a couch from West Elm? You might want to check how it’s holding up, especially if it’s the Peggy Sofa. The home retailer is currently offering full refunds to anyone who purchased the couch between July 2014 and 2017 because it’s just that awful.

The issue with the couch, which originally retailed for $1200, was brought to light when a piece about how much the Peggy sucked was penned for TheAwl.com. In the article, the writer complains about buttons popping off, cushions shifting, and legs collapsing. And the problems weren’t isolated to one individual. Many people had sounded off on social media with the exact same problem.

And so, after three years of customers complaining, West Elm has listened to the awful feedback and taken the couch off their website. They are also offering anyone who purchased the Peggy Sofa after July 2014 a refund or replacement. To claim yours, all you have to do is reach out to West Elm’s special support at support@westelm.com.

Do you think West Elm made the right move by pulling the sofa and offering refunds?
