Where to Go and What to Do on College Street

Whether you’re just popping by or coming in from out of town, College Street is a great place to do some urban exploring.

The Frank & Oak Warehouse Sale at 533 College Street is still underway! Whether you’re just popping by or coming in from out of town, College Street is a great place to do some urban exploring. The area, which includes Kensington Market, boasts a variety of restaurants, clothing and coffee shops, as well as a great night scene that will keep you busy throughout your visit.

Motoretta is a premier Honda Motorcycle and Scooter boutique. If you are not looking to spend big, you’re in luck! They also carry a number of great clothing labels for women & men such as Cheap Monday, Citizens of Humanity, Soia & Kyo and more.

Courage My Love

Kensington Market has a great vintage scene, Courage My Love being a gold mine for cheap vintage and exotic jewelry. The owner personally travels across the globe finding one-of-a-kind pieces that fit the store’s chic, hippie vibes

Sub Rosa Vintage

Sub Rosa sells a curated selection of on-trend vintage and reworked vintage clothing and accessories at affordable prices. The store believes in helping every customer find their “signature look,” so chances are they’ll have that unique piece that will give your outfit the edge you’ve been looking for.

Coffee Shops

Manic Coffee

If you’re into specialty coffee, esspresso, gelato and baking (who isn’t!) you will definitely want to try out Manic Coffee. We should also mention that every day after 5:00 pm an espresso and americano only cost $2.25 each!

Cafe Pamenar

Cafe Pamenar, located in Kensington market, would probably be best described as a “cozy hipster coffee shop.” They have a communal table perfect for a little socializing as you sip a delicious coffee or nibble a sweet treat.

Looking for something a little more substantial to eat with your coffee? Aroma has an array of sandwiches, salads, soups, breakfast foods and pastries. The cafe is also conveniently right across the street from the Frank & Oak Warehouse sale.

Soi Thai

Okay, so you’ve done some shopping and now your hungry… Soi Thai will definitely hit the spot! This isn’t your traditional Thai place as the owner focuses on bringing you Thai street hawker eats like Thai-styled fried egg, and an assortment of meat skewers.

La Carnita

La Carnita is both excellent in food and decor. The restaurant interior has a trendy industrial feel and great food to match such as the Cod Taco, Chorizo Meatballs and Ceviche. Amazingly, all tacos are also only $5!

Craving some Italian? Head over to Marinella for some fresh hand made pasta like Seafood or Chicken Alfredo Fettucine – comprehensive wine list included because nothing pairs better with some pasta then a little sip of the red.

If none of these restaurants suit your fancy, you can get cheap drinks and eats at Nirvana and Sneaky Dee’s, splurge on delicious Spanish-influenced tapas at Bar Isabel and Bar Raval, or get your ram-on at Ryoji.

Snakes & Lattes

If you’re planning on shopping late (the Frank & Oak Warehouse Sale is open until 8:00 pm) keep the fun going with some board games and craft beer. At Snakes & Lattes you’re never too old to be a kid!

Night Owl

Night Owl has a good list of Signature Floats and Cocktails if you’re feeling a little more fancy. We wold recommend the Creamsicle Float – childhood Nostalgia included. They also have some old arcade games to top it off.

Orbit Room

Don’t let the small space fool you… Orbit Room is a great spot to hit up some live music. The bar mainly features jazz, soul & motown so get ready to groove! They’ll probably play some of your favourite covers.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Frank & Oak Warehouse sale and get ready to do some exploring in the College area.
