While we thought that the IKEA craze was winding down, it looks like it’s still going strong. News out of the IKEA camp is stating that they have teamed up with Swedish indie fragrance creator Byredo, and you’ll soon be able to smell like an IKEA store. What that actually smells like, we aren’t sure. We’re thinking a mix of balsa wood, hundred of people and Swedish meatballs… Yummy!
IKEA released a press released saying that cinnamon buns may play a role in the scent, but according to the fragrance maker Ben Gorham “We’re trying to develop a tonne of smells enforcing the idea that everyone has a different relationship to it, and nothing is right or wrong,”
Considering this product will probably fall into the novelty category for most shoppers, it’s likely that this scent will be expensive. Byredo’s current scents start at around $150…
