He works to create romantic, feminine pieces with a hint of attitude and his well-cut dresses and swing coats are easily spotted on red carpets across the globe. Jason Wu is now American based, but the fashion designer was born and raised in Vancouver where he first started his fashion line. Wu most notably went mainstream amongst celebrities when Michelle Obama wore that dreamy cream-coloured dress to Barack Obama’s first inaugural ball after winning the presidency in 2009. Since then, Wu’s designs have been seen on multiple celebrities including Diane Kruger, Zoe Saldana, Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain.
