Brands we think will kill it in 2016

Milk and Honey

Toronto-based company, Milk and Honey are the new kids on the jewelry block. They saw a gap in the men’s jewelry market and decided to fill it with high-quality, sterling silver pendants and rings. All pieces are handmade-in-Canada with 3D printed molds. The pieces offered are subtle enough for everyday wear but bold enough to make a statement on their own. For now, you can shop through their online store, but expect to see more of Milk and Honey in 2016.

One Meth Goods

Established in 2014 ONEMETH Creative goods is the creation of Amin Todai and his team at OneMethod, a Digital and creative design studio in Toronto. We expect big things from this creative team in 2016. The clothing is streetwear inspired, and their latest effort – a collaboration with Faded Lifestyle is a cut above. The newest collaboration shows the progression of the brand from a project to a full-fledged lifestyle brand. Keep up with OneMeth Goods through their online site.

Atelier New Regime

Atelier New Regime is a newish Montreal-based street wear brand with modern styling and a commitment to high-quality product. With a strong showing in 2015, Atelier New Regime is one of those brands that has been slowly brewing and we think 2016 is the year that they break out.

Though the brand has been designing womenswear since 2013, Leilanni made a splash in 2015 with The Yes! Project. The swimwear line is produced in collaboration with emerging artists from around the world and features tropical prints, lace-up designs and unique cuts. You can shop the line in a few retailers across Canada and Europe or online.

PKG Bags

We work fairly closely with PKG and have seen this brand develop into something special. Their newest DRI collection is the collection we think will take PKG to that next level. Beautifully designed, and meticulously thought through, the new PKG Dri collection bags are some of the best on the market, and it’s only a matter of time until the world discovers PKG. With Herschel Supply being the dominant force in Canadian backpacks and accessories we think this is the year that Herschel takes a back seat and contenders like PKG will start to be the backpack of choice for Canada’s cool kids.

Faded Lifestyle

Faded Lifestyle has always been one of those brands that has been just on the cusp of greatness. The clothing is some of the highest quality good we’ve ever seen, and we aren’t’ just saying that. Due to the fact that most of the clothing is so minimal, it’s almost imperative that you see it up close to judge the quality.  Jonathan Shimoni founder of Faded is one of those guys who believe that quality is the most paramount of factors for a successful brand. We agree and know that due to his hard work, his latest collaborative efforts with OneMeth Goods and his overall vision, Mr. Shimoni and Faded Lifestyle will have a breakout year in 2016.

Mary Young

This year was a big year for the Toronto-based lingerie and loungewear line, Mary Young. The brand’s clean lines and feminine fit caught the attention of Vogue, Refinery 29, Flare Magazine and many more. At less than 2-years old, this brand is just getting started and we expect to see big things from Mary Young in 2016.

Speechlust Jewelry

Women can now get their daily dose of inspiration through the Canadian accessory line, Speechlust Jewelry. Every necklace featured in the Speechlust collection is engraved with a unique word, reminding young women of their fondest memories, beliefs and aspirations. Though the brand is new, it has already caught the attention of Jeanne Beker, Arlene Dickinson and Tiffany Pratt.
