Last night, the StyleDemocracy team was invited to check out the newest member of the Converse family. After the successful launch of the Converse All Star Modern last month, Converse unveiled the latest drop from the collection. Dubbed the Converse Auckland Modern, this new silhouette is inspired by Converse’s stories legacy in running innovation.
The event showcased archival Converse shoes, and we were able to see the history and progression of the Converse brand and how the new Converse Auckland Modern plays on a rich a history and fuses it with modern technology and styling.
The new Converse Auckland Modern features a split knit upper for a superior fit and for lightweight comfort. The new model draws from Nike – using Nike Hyperfuse construction which gives the Auckland Modern high levels of durability and support. Additionally, the sneaker is underpinned by a Phylon outsole which makes the shoe light and comfortable with maximum mobility.

The Converse Auckland Modern sneaker collection will come in the following colours:in Black/Soar, Black/White, Black/Lucid Green, Black/Action Red and Black/Dark Grey and will be available starting July 21, with a price tag of $130 CAD, exclusively at Foot Locker on Yonge Street in Toronto, Converse retail stores, Converse.com and select pinnacle retailers worldwide.
