First Canadian Starbucks Express Store Opens in Toronto
Union Station is one of Toronto’s busiest destinations. The city’s main transportation hub sees over 250,000 people a day. Whether these visitors are in a rush to get to work, hopping through to catch a concert or just visiting the city for fun, they’re expecting a fast paced environment to go with the bustling crowd.
Union Station has been under renovation for years and they are lots of new developments. First, Union Station saw Canada’s first McCafe and today, the first Starbucks Express store opens in Toronto. The Express store is the first of it’s kind in Canada and the third of its kind in the entire world. Union Station visitors can now say good bye to long Starbucks line-ups!
The biggest difference between the Express store and regular store is the ordering system. Instead of ordering at cash, customers will be greeted by a Starbucks employee who will take orders that are electronically sent to the Barista. The 400 square-foot space will feature a set menu with signature drinks, brewed coffee and popular food items, making decision making easy. No seating at the Starbucks Express means visitors can move through quickly and freely.
