Things to do this November in the GTA
Halloween has come and gone, and the month of November is officially here. As soon as the spooky decorations come down, the twinkling lights go up and the holiday festivities begin! While Christmas ads can be an annoying reminder of the torrents of snow to come, it’s also a friendly nudge to cheer up and give back to the people we love the most. Whether you’re looking to indulge in food and drink, start your Christmas shopping early, or spend time with family, there are a ton of events and sales this month that will leave you more than satisfied.

The National Women’s Show (November 4-6)
Looking for the ultimate girls day out? The National Women’s Show is back at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre for a weekend of fashion, food, and fun. Shop ’til you drop at over 450 exhibits and indulge in food sampling, fashion shows, cooking demos, makeovers and more. Artisella Holiday Pop-up Shop (November 11 – December 27)
An exclusive pop-up shop is coming to the heart of Queen West! The Artisella Holiday Pop-up will be taking place at 486 Queen St. West from November 11th to December 27th. Santa Claus Parade (November 20)
Time to get in the holiday spirit! If the Santa Claus Parade isn’t already one of your Christmas rituals, it’s about time you make it one. Gather up the fam, stake out a spot along the route of HoHo-Happiness and watch out for Santa, arriving around 12:30pm. Can’t make it out the parade this year? The Trinity Bellwoods Flea: Pre Holiday Market (November 19-20)
Haven’t started your holiday shopping yet? The Trinity Bellwoods Flea: Pre Holiday Market is a gold mine for one-of-a-kind gifts! Dodgeball Tournament: Wrenchfest 2016 (November 19)
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball! Toronto SSC (Sports & Social Club) will be hosting a Dodgeball tournament on November 19th at Jesse Ketchum PS (Bay/Bloor). While there won’t actually be any wrench throwing, we can guarantee there will be a TON of balls (plus some awesome prizes). Don’t have a team? No worries. There are light displays and then there’s the Cavalcade of Lights! Kick off the holidays at Nathan Phillips Square for the 49th annual tree-lighting ceremony on November 26th. Along with the lighting ceremony, enjoy fireworks, live performances by the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, DJ Serious, the Zero Gravity Circus, a skating party starring Disney’s Frozen musical characters and more!
