With the rising popularity of cycling, major brands and small startups have focused on functional clothing for the urban cyclist. This year for his Fall/ Winter 2012 Puma Black Label collaboration, designer MIHARAYASUHIRO explores the world of biking. Take a look at some of the images from the Puma Black Lookbook.  Mihar’s contemporary take on athletic wear shows a fusion of tailored garments and sports. His garments usually consist of packable hoods, reflective accents and roll down compartments. Shoes are given both urban appeal and technical styling. The MY-61 Snake, for example, a design embraced by the Tokyo cyclists, fuses a hexagonal grip pattern with MIHARA DIGICAT rigidity and innovative foxing tape, resulting in not only forward-thinking aesthetics but actual cycling performance.
