Found in the trendy West Queen West neighbourhood at 883 Queen St. West, the bookstore is found amongst yummy restaurants and cool shops. 

Type Books was founded by Joanne Saul and Samara Walbohm. The bookstore has quickly grown, as it now has three locations across Toronto. You can find the shop on Queen Street, in Forest Hill Village, and in The Junction. 

The Queen West location is the original flagship store, which opened in April of 2006. Ever since it opened, it has become a staple in the west-end community. 

Type Books carries books of all genres. Whether you are looking for fiction or non-fiction, adult books or children's books, you will find them all here. 

The store has become known for the amazing displays that they have in the front window. Featuring books around all genres and themes based on what is happening in the month, the front window is always a great inspiration for your next read.

Once you go inside the store, you will be greeted by shelves of tons of book selections. Along with books, the stores also sell puzzles and other fun little games. 

The store is a book lover's dream come true, with exposed white brick along the walls, as well as a cool patterned wallpaper. 

The ceiling-to-floor bookshelves are found against the walls throughout the entire store, as well as shelves lining the middle of the floor. There is never a shortage of great finds here.
