This week, we’d like to introduce you to another one of Toronto’s bright stars in the lifestyle and blogging industry. As the Founder of TheChicCanuck.com and FLARE’s Toronto Localist at Large, Gracie Carroll has cemented herself as one of the go-to personalities in the Toronto lifestyle industry. Not only is Gracie’s website – TheChicCanuck a great place to find stellar written content, it’s also an e-commerce hub specializing in promoting great local designers.
Define your style in 3 words.
Eclectic. Classic. Individual.
What are some of your own style ‘rules’ that you like to live by?
Wear things that flatter your body. Wear things that make you feel good. Wear things that make you excited. Don’t follow trends if they don’t work for you.
What are your ‘go-to’ shopping destinations?
I often shop directly from my designer friends based in Toronto; I love supporting Canadian talent! I’ll mix it up with designer finds from consignment shops and vintage. We’ve got amazing consignment shops and vintage in Toronto that are still affordable.
4. Do you have any favourite local designers?
Oh yes! Beaufille, Sid Neigum, Bazzul, Greta Constantine and Paria Shirvani to name a few.
5. Where do you currently shop online?
A lot of my online shopping these days is dedicated to sourcing the goods for my all-Canadian e-shop, TheChicCanuck.com. I often like to browse my favourite local shops and designers to see what’s new before going in. Because I’m a deal hunter, I’m also addicted to The Outnet.
6. If you could give style advice to your followers, what would it be?
Find a few staple pieces that define your style and stick to them.
