It’s obvious that folks continue to be excited with the popular Filipino fast food chain, Jollibee’s expansion into Canada. Right now, the chain has two stores in the GTA in Scarborough and Mississauga and another one is set to open this fall.
Jollibee has announced that it’s planning to open three stores in the GTA with one opening (hopefully) this fall.

Although there’s no opening date that’s been confirmed, BlogTO reports that construction on a Promenade Mall Jollibee location will be starting in just a couple weeks. Assuming the construction runs on time, and the chain commences operations ASAP, the restaurant should be open within the next three months, said a rep for BUILD IT By Design, a Mississauga-based general contracting firm.
Another location is opening in North York on Billy Bishop near Costco. The fast-food chain is taking up space where an old Moore’s Clothing store used to be.

The most exciting Jollibee restaurant that’s coming is the downtown location that’s reportedly coming in 2020. The store will be located near Ryerson at Yonge and Gould and while we’re on the edge of our seats for more info, the building it’s set to be in hasn’t even been constructed yet.

All fans of the Filipino fast-food chain, we’ve got great news for you! It’s now official – Jollibee’s second location in The GTA will be opening this Friday at 7 am. The grand opening will take place inside Seafood City Supermarket in Missisuaga.
It’s no secret that Jollibee is insanely popular due to Toronto’s massive Filipino community and the city’s voracious appetite for new food concepts.
When the first restaurant in the GTA opened its doors on April 1, there were people lined up for hours before the official opening. So if you want to be among the first ones to get your hands on the popular Filipino fast food, you’ll have to be ready to come in advance (think the night before the opening.)
As we reported earlier, you can expect at least 100 new locations opening all over the country in the next five years. The Filipino food-chain currently has three locations open in Canada – one in Scarborough and two in Winnipeg. Right now, it almost has 1,300 stores.

According to BlogTo, the Mississauga-based general contracting firm BUILD IT By Design announced on Twitter Wednesday that it had officially finished construction on the Jollibee restaurant set to open inside Seafood City Supermarket.
The company has said it will open mid-July so hopefully, we can be expecting it soon. They haven’t announced an exact date but we’ll keep you updated on any new information!
