You can now grab freshly made bowls at a Toronto Loblaws! The grocery chain just introduced a new in-store element that is super exciting.

Located at the Loblaws at Maple Leaf Gardens, 60 Carlton Street, the restaurant is called Globōl

Known as a “grocerant” which is a play-on for combining a grocery store and a restaurant, it offers takeout as well as delivery for delicious globally inspired bowls.

The Globōl website states in more detail about the inspiration behind the concept, “Our menu is inspired by the stories of international street food legends, hardworking farmers and loving mothers & fathers whose crafts have been shaped by generations in their homeland and who personify the spirit of each dish.”

Created by Pierre Jutras and Nipun Sharma, Globōl serves six different types of bowls.

These include beef fajita, chicken shawarma, butter chicken, jerk chicken, General Tao, and pad Thai.

Plus, each of the meals are only $12!

Today is the last day to register for your Free $25 card from Loblaw.

The free Loblaw Card Program which launched earlier this year stems from Loblaw’s admission to bread price fixing over a 14 year period.

Tuesday, May 8 ( today) is the official last day for Canadians to apply for the free card which allows them to access to $25 to use at any participating Loblaw company.

According to Loblaw – the cost of the program has cost the company around $126 million in the final quarter of 2017 and the first quarter of 2018. While Loblaw believes the cards will offset the impact of a class-action lawsuit, insiders close to the proceedings say that isn’t’ for certain.

If you haven’t yet merged your PC points with the Shoppers Optimum points, now is the time to download the new PC Optimum App from the App Store and make your life easier!

At first, when the new program launched there were some bumps in the road. First users faced a few problems related to merging the two apps. In order to help you understand better what the process looks like, we decided to answer some key questions:

The biggest perk?

In our opinion, is that you can now earn points from Shoppers, Loblaw, AND Joe Fresh! That means you can buy your groceries and earn free makeup or clothes. What could be better than that?

How will the new program work?

If you were a PC Plus cardholder, not much is changing: 10,000 PC Plus points translates to 10,000 PC Optimum points. Pretty simple! For Shoppers, with every dollar spent, you will get 15 points instead of the previous 10 you were used to.

Where can you redeem the points?

You can now redeem your points in nearly 2,500 stores and Loblaw-owned online services, including Real Canadian Superstore, Atlantic Superstore, City Market, No Frills, Independent, Zehrs, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug mark, Shoppers Home Health Care and online at Loblaw-owned online grocery websites, joefresh.com and beautyBourtique.ca.
