Oxford Properties has announced new details about the Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, which will be expanded westward into the mall’s former Target space. The new west wing will feature an entertainment centre, a food market, as well as more retailers.

Ontario’s largest shopping centre’s $580 million redevelopments of the west wing will see the opening of global casual apparel retailer UNIQLO and
other soon-to-be-announced major retailers starting in November 2018. Following these renovations, an elevated and interactive Food District and popular entertainment complex The Rec Room will be built by Spring 2019.
The Food District will be introducing a new era of “mall food,” providing a focus on both learning/experiential components and bringing the community together around food, in a setting that embraces both new- and old-world food emporiums. Stretching over 34,000 square feet, The Food District will see an outstanding array of high-quality local offerings and speciality products, as well as a space to meet, explore and share the love of food through tastings, cooking classes, dinner parties, book signings and other special events.
