The first NBA Courtside Restaurant is opening within walking distance from the Scotiabank Arena, home of the Raptors, this spring, Retail Insider reports!
It will be a premium, sports-inspired dining experience celebrating the National Basketball Association through custom art and decor, modern food and drinks, a retail space, as well as outdoor and private dining!
The restaurant will be operated by Urban Dining Group, and chef Erica Karbenlik, who has won Top Chef and Chopped Canada, will be the NBA Courtside’s Restaurant Culinary Ambassador and will oversee the menu.
NBA Courtside Restaurant will showcase the stages of an NBA player’s journey as well as historical moments from NBA history through art and decor.
Retail Insider reports that Leah MacNab, NBA Senior Vice President, said in a statement; “There’s no better location for the first NBA Courtside Restaurant than Canada, where basketball has a rich history and tradition… We can’t wait to welcome fans and guests from around the world to this incredible venue, where they can celebrate their shared love of the game in a unique way through a delicious meal and welcoming atmosphere.”
The menu is said to feature international cuisine that will include nods to the NBA and basketball in it. For example, a 23-ounce pint glass referencing Michael Jordan’s number.

The iconic Toronto rapper continues to take over the city, this time with his new hot restaurant Pick 6IX. The new spot located on Yonge Street opened just yesterday and captured the attention of many Drake’s fans.
On Tuesday night Pick 6IX hosted its first pre-opening party, which was attended by Drake’s closest friends, including LeBron James, OVO Chubbs, Dwyane Wade and Future The Prince. Check out the pictures from the opening night below.
After Drake’s favourite restaurant Fring’s by Susur Lee, Pick 6IX is his second attempt to conquer Toronto’s food scene. And there’s every chance that the new restaurant located in the heart of the city (close to Union Station and the Air Canada Centre) will become a new city landmark that will attract thousands of tourists. Fans from all over the world have already expressed their desire through Instagram to visit Toronto just to see Drake’s new restaurant.
Pick 6IX, which exclusive design incorporates gold, black and blue colours, is undoubtedly another victory under the musician’s belt.
The rapper wrote on his Instagram, “I hope the entire city gets a chance to enjoy this beautiful establishment.”
