Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar

Leonardo DiCaprio not winning an Oscar has been one of the longest running jokes in Hollywood. With his performance in the Revenant, it was clear the 41-year-old actor was gunning for Best Actor. After five past nominations, DiCaprio has received the recognition from the Academy he’s been looking for. (via Forbes)

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday, March 1st. Torontonians can expect to see 15 to 30 centimetres of snow tomorrow as well as ice pellets and freezing rain… Yikes! (via Environment Canada)

Toronto restaurateurs are moving away from tips

The owner of Toronto restaurants Sidecar and the Toronto Temperance Society has decided to put an end to tipping. Bill Sweete is the second Toronto restauranteur to make the move. Beginning May 1st, Sweete plans to redistribute cashflow, pushing more funds to back-of-house workers. Customers can expect a rise in menu prices to cover the cost of employees. (via Toronto Life)
