Walmart’s Upscale Flagship Store Will Feature More Than 125 Premium Fashion Brands
In an effort to establish itself as a fashion destination, US retail giant Walmart has announced that it will open the new upscale Lord & Taylor flagship store. In just a few weeks you’ll be able to shop such top brands as Tommy Bahama, Vince Camuto, Miss Selfridge, La La Anthony, Lucky Brand, H Halston and more on Walmart.com.
“The launch of the new Lord & Taylor store takes our fashion shopping experience to the next level and will introduce more than 125 new premium brands to our Walmart customers.
I’m really proud of the new flagship. The images are beautiful and inspiring. It’s on trend. It’s easy to navigate,” said Denise Incandela, Head of Fashion, Walmart U.S. eCommerce.
Walmart’s new digital fashion destination will offer customers two different shops: affordable Everyday Brands and Premium Brands from Lord & Taylor. Even though Walmart appeals to value-oriented customers, the new upscale digital store will help the retailer attract wealthier demographic. According to Retail Drive, “for Lord & Taylor, this deal could offer a new sales channel, which it badly needs.”
“Whether customers are looking for a basic tee or the perfect summer dress, we want them to be able to find what they are looking for on Walmart.com. The Lord & Taylor store is one of many steps we are taking to establish Walmart.com as a destination for fashion,” said Incandela.
