Wearable Tech Might Not Be So Dorky After All…
If you’ve seen someone wearing the new Google Glass, it looks pretty corny. Wearable tech has always looked more dorky than cool, but that might be changing. Earlier it was announced that the CFDA, Barney’s New York and Opening Ceremony have announced simultaneous collaborations with Intel to produce and market wearable technology. According to Fashion Magazine the first product will me a “smart bracelet” created by intel and Opening Ceremony to be carried exclusively at Barney’s. We’re predicting that this will be a major success solely based on the fact that Intel, Opening Ceremony and Barney’s are all backing this project.
“Humberto and I have always allowed our curiosity to take us to uncharted waters. We are diving in to embark on a journey with Intel and can’t wait to see where it will take us,” says Opening Ceremony co-founder Carol Lim via press release. “Intel is a company that has powered our lives in countless ways and now we get to be a part of shaping the 21st century with them.”
