Summertime in the city is always the best time! Along with the good weather and plethora of fun events, the streets also come alive with some of the best eats. If your out and about (and hungry!), make it your mission to seek out these food trucks.

Check out 10 delicious food trucks worth tracking down in Toronto this summer, and have more than one culinary adventure. Your summertime food bucket list wouldn’t be complete without tasting bites like these.

Eva’s Original Chimneys

These hand-rolled Hungarian pastries are basically Insta-famous and are exactly what you need to cool off this summer! Topped with ice cream, the delicious cone-shaped chimneys won’t just make your Instagram happy, but also your taste buds. How could it not, with flavours like PB&J, Matcha Crunch, Chocolate Caramel S’Mores and more?

feasTO

If you’re a fan of dumplings, you’ll be happy to know there’s an entire food truck dedicated to the doughy wonder. feasTO is Toronto’s first dumpling food truck and it doesn’t disappoint with their handmade Asian-inspired treats. They have every dumpling variety under the steamy Toronto sun, including traditional bites like OG Pork, as well as more inventive dumplings like red curry sweet potato.

Buster’s Sea Cove

Buster’s Sea Cove will instantly make you feel like you’re by the ocean with their delicious seafood truck. If you’ve been to any of their brick-and-mortar restaurants, you’ll be happy to know that the truck features their top-selling dishes. Who else can’t wait to get their hands on the Maine-style lobster rolls or Ensenada-style fish tacos?!

Taco Truck Toronto

And because you can never have enough tacos in the summer, check out the brand new Taco Truck Toronto while you’re at it! Chef Mike Ramos is the talent behind the truck, which features the award-winning Roti Taco. The menu also includes premium and classic tacos, along with some equally yummy sides. I got my eyes on the Kim Chi Fries.

Feedthe6

This Toronto-inspired food truck is all about what people love to eat in the 6ix. Their diverse menu takes a very Toronto-spin on some classic and ethnic dishes because let’s face it, one of the best things about eating in the city is the huge amount of different cultural dishes. Mmmm, chicken masala bowl or fried mac and cheese: yes, please!

Fidel Gastro’s

Fidel Gastro’s is one of the most sought-after food trucks roaming the streets of Toronto. The self-proclaimed “extremo retro street food kitchen on wheels,” was even listed as Canada’s Top Food Truck by Canadian Living Magazine. With dishes like Kingzilla (root beer-braised short rib topped with kimchi), and Fat Boy Shrimp (panko fried coconut shrimp and pineapple ketchup), it’s easy to see why.

Mr. Pierogi

I still have yet to meet one person who doesn’t like pierogis; they’re just so darn good. Next time you’re out and about, treat yourself to some of the doughy, potato delights from the Mr. Pierogi food truck. Think savoury poutine perogies or sweet caramelized, apple perogies, all made with fresh and local ingredients.

The Food Dudes

The Food Dudes Truck is another Toronto cult-classic when it comes to street eats. This veteran of a food truck has gone rogue, but in the best way possible – they don’t follow a set theme making their dish range huge! Famous favourites include mac & cheese balls, Cap n’ Crunch Tacos, and Nutella Bombs.

Toben Food Truck

Toben Food Truck launched last year at Open Roof Festival and has been a hit ever since. Topped to the brim with flavour, their menu includes refreshing bites like the watermelon salad or more filling options like the grain fed chicken schnitzel sandwich, and jerk-filled poutine. They also feature a vegetarian-friendly menu, because who doesn’t love options?

Hollywood Cone

Last, but certainly not least on the list, is Hollywood Cone. You’ll be able to check out this ice-cream obsessed food truck at a number of summer events and festivals in the GTA. Their shakes are basically over-flowing with sweet deliciousness and you can customize your cold treat with a variety of candy toppings that are finger-licking good!
