Whether you’re a pro-athlete or just enjoy running, there’s an exciting free event taking place in Toronto that you just can’t miss.
Today at 6:30 p.m. hundreds of runners will get together to take part in adidas X Parley Run For The Oceans event at Trillium Park, Ontario Place, to run 5km through the provincial park.
This global running movement uses the power of sports to raise awareness and funds for the threat of marine plastic pollution. For every 1km completed at the event, adidas will donate $1 USD (up to $1M USD) to support the Parley Ocean Plastic Program.
The best part is that the route is designed for all runners and you can run (or walk) as many kilometres as you would like, everyone is welcome to support the cause!
At the event, participants will enjoy complimentary food and beverages while listening to live performances from local artists.
Even though registration is now closed, runners can still participate by downloading the Runtastic app to track each step they complete between June 8 and July 8, and adidas will continue to match every kilometre run through the app. Visit adidas.ca/parley to download the Runtastic App.
