Here’s another retail crime story for you! CP24 is reporting that seven suspects entered a downtown department store and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. As of now, two of the seven suspects have turned themselves, but police are still searching for the other five suspects.
The alleged theft took place on Dec. 1st at a department store in the area of Yonge and Queen streets in downtown Toronto. According to CP24 and police, seven suspects entered the department store wearing hoodies and masks and allegedly took several high-value Moncler jackets before fleeing the store.
The Police estimate that the value of the goods totalled around $14,000. This past Monday, investigators confirmed that two suspects have turned themselves in and are facing charges that include theft over $5,000 and a conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
While CP24 doesn’t name the store that got robbed, if you use reasonable deduction you can figure out that it was likely Saks, as they carry Moncler Jackets and are located at Yonge and Queen.
