60 Years of Made in Italy Exhibit, June 1-30 (Free admission)

Having stopped in Tokyo, Dubai, Moscow and ten other cities around the globe, this incredible exhibit is finally coming to Toronto. Hosted by Yorkville Village, the one-of-a-kind showcase tells the story of Italian fashion from its inception in Florence in 1951, through to its evolution in notable modern-day design. 60 Years of Made in Italy is an exclusive opportunity to interact with some of the most iconic brands and garments in Italian fashion’s history (think Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli) for free, so don’t miss out!

ONEMETH GOODS x MTV Pop-up, June 1 – 17

ONEMETH GOODS is a digital and design studio based in Toronto that uses locally sourced, locally manufactured, fabric in the design. Recently the brand collaborated with MTV to produce a capsule collection and celebrate the intersection of music and fashion. You will be able to shop the exclusive collection through a pop-up shop on Toronto’s Queen Street that will also document the connection between sound and style from 1981 (the birth of MTV) to 2018 through an immersive visual timeline.

The Citizen’s Collective Spring Market, June 9 (Free admission)

The pop-up market will be open to the public for one day only, on June 9, at 9 Ossington (at the corner of Ossington and Queen W.) from 11 am to 7 pm. At the market, you’ll find a curated selection of hand-made and ethically produced decor, accessories, textiles,  jewelry, plants, bath and beauty products and much much more. 

The Danforth East Yard Sale & Sidewalk Sale, June 9

The Danforth East Yard Sale & Sidewalk Sale features over 200 different neighbourhood yard sales and sidewalk sales. Hosted by the Danforth East Community Association, the biggest yard sale in Toronto will take place on June 9, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Christie Pits Film Festival, June 29 – August 19 (Free admission) 

All the movie lovers out there, this special festival is for you! All summer long come to Christie Pits park and enjoy a free weekly series of outdoor film screenings. “The festival’s carefully curated programme includes a combination of popular and critically-acclaimed feature films alongside local and Canadian short and feature films that allow us to celebrate excellent homegrown talent,” said the organizers on their website
