Spring has sprung and so have pop-up markets around the city.

As someone who is totally into the shop local movement, I am stoked to check out some of these markets now that the weather is getting warmer.

If you’re into unique handmade goods, vintage finds, and sustainable choices, then get excited for all the markets to hit Toronto this spring!

stackt is a new market at Bathurst and Front streets made out of shipping containers stacked upon one another. With local favourites such as Endy and Inkbox Tattoos, as well as up-and-coming food, retail, and entertainment brands, stackt MARKET is going to be the place to be this spring.

TTES (Team Toronto Etsy Sellers) Spring Market – April 14

Etsy’s Toronto team is organizing their quarterly event out of the Great Hall on April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. With over 50 local artisans and craftspeople, Etsy’s events are curated with the best vendors in Toronto. From ceramics to pins, body butters to baked goods, there’s something for everyone.

Cost: Free admission with complimentary swag bags for the first 50 attendees.

Healthy Moms Toronto Marketplace – April 14

Artscape Wychwood Barns is a beautiful space to spend the day spoiling yourself! While you do a little shopping from the marketplace’s curated selection natural, organic, and sustainable items, you can enjoy free onsite childcare for your little ones and complimentary health food items. Now those are some perks you don’t see everyday!

Bare Market Pop-Up At Patagonia – April 28 & May 26

Looking to little spring cleaning and want to do it sustainably? Bare Market Pop-Ups are the perfect way to stock up on eco-friendly products in bulk! And it’s not just cleaning supplies! You can get natural makeup, sunscreen, and more. It’s bring your own container but they will have some for you to put a deposit on, too.

The Deadstock Depot — Vintage Streetwear Market – April 27

One of our favourite vintage designer markets is back this spring in a brand new location on Ossington! Shop a variety of vendors and browse vintage ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s styles from popular brands like Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and more.

Veg Spring Market – May 5

The Veg Spring Market is taking over Wychwood Barns this spring, bringing 40+ veggie business together for a jam-packed day of fun. Not only will there be amazing veggie vendors, but there will also be a variety of workshops. Hosted by the Toronto Vegetarian Association, this is a can’t miss event for local veggie lovers.

Cost: Tickets are just $3.50

Plant Fair 2019: Parkdale & Toronto Horticultural Societies – May 11

Are you a crazy plant lover like me? Then the Plant Fair 2019 by the Parkdale and Toronto Horticultural Societies is the market for you. Check out their selection of plants, crafts, and more at this local event. You’ll definitely be seeing me there! Just remember to bring cash because they only accept payments of debit or credit on purchases of $50 or more.

Artfest Toronto Spring Show – May 18-20

What’s better than the Distillery District in the spring? How about an art show on the cobblestone lanes? Artfest Toronto Spring Show will feature over 80 artists and craftspeople from around Ontario. Plus, there will be free art workshops for the kiddos. Sounds like the best way to spend a long weekend to me.

GH Marketplace: Legends of Vintage – May 26

Lovers of vintage, unite! Part of the Gladstone Hotel’s monthly marketplace, this event is curated by vintage fashion specialist Andrea Lalonde, so you know it’s going to be filled with unique gems. If you’re serious about expressing yourself through vintage finds, this market is the one for you.
